NTSCGEWOU TCU/3GI3/GM1b/PES braid/5GM3 MV Rubber Cable

NTSCGEWOU is torsion-resistant heavy-duty reeling rubber cable with enhanced mechanical strength, engineered for continuous winding/unwinding service on port cranes and mobile hoisting equipment.

APPLICATION

Power cable for mobile connections, designed for high mechanical stresses (tensile strength and torsion),for heavy  duty  conditions:all weather  conditions, abrasion  and  crushing. The cable is typically  used  in  winding  drums  for  harbour  cranes, container cranes, conveyors, handling machines, and mining & tunnelling equipment.

CHARACTERISTICS

Ⅰ. Electrical Structure & Insulation Performance
NTSCGEWOU- medium voltage trailing cables are manufactured in full compliance with DIN VDE 0250 standards, adopting Class 5 finely stranded tinned copper conductors to achieve excellent flexibility and reliable anti-oxidation performance under long-term damp working conditions. The core insulation is made of high-performance ethylene propylene rubber (EPR), which maintains stable dielectric strength even under high voltage loads and permits a maximum long-term operating temperature of 90°C. Each power core is equipped with inner and outer semiconductive screening layers to evenly distribute electric field and avoid partial discharge risks, while dense copper wire braided shielding provides effective electromagnetic interference suppression, guaranteeing steady electrical transmission without signal disturbance for matched monitoring and control circuits integrated inside the cable structure.
Ⅱ. Mechanical Reinforcement & Anti-Damage Design
This series cable is specially engineered for frequent winding, dragging, bending and torsion scenarios on mobile heavy machinery such as mining excavators and tunnel boring machines. A high-strength synthetic fiber anti-torsion braid layer is embedded between the shielding assembly and outer sheath, greatly improving the cable’s tensile resistance and anti-twisting capacity to prevent core breakage caused by repeated twisting and pulling during equipment movement. The multi-layer compacted overall structure effectively buffers external mechanical impacts, and the specially matched core layout eliminates internal friction between conductors when the cable is bent or rolled, significantly extending the service life under continuous dynamic load compared with ordinary medium voltage cables.
Ⅲ. Outer Sheath & Environmental Adaptability
The outermost layer adopts halogen-free flame-retardant elastomer sheath material with comprehensive resistance to harsh site conditions. It delivers outstanding abrasion resistance and tear resistance against sharp rock fragments and ground friction, and maintains stable physical properties after long-term contact with mineral oil, lubricants and hydraulic fluids commonly used in mining projects. The sheath features superior low-temperature flexibility, avoiding cracking in cold open-pit operation environments, and its halogen-free flame retardant property restrains flame spread and reduces toxic smoke release during accidental combustion. Overall, the cable can sustain stable power delivery under combined complex stresses of torsion, abrasion, chemical corrosion and low temperature, fully meeting the strict safety and durability requirements of underground tunnels and open-pit mining mobile power supply systems.
